About History Landing 1620
Building an Institution That Outlives Me
Our Mission
“History Landing 1620 exists to preserve, teach, publish, and promote the intellectual, historical, and spiritual inheritance of Christian civilization — equipping present and future generations with biblical wisdom, historical understanding, and faithful leadership for the glory of God.”
Timeless Wisdom. Faithful Living. A Legacy Worth Leaving.

The Story Behind the Name
The Story Behind the Name
The year 1620 is not arbitrary. It marks the arrival of the Mayflower Pilgrims — men and women of deep Christian conviction who crossed an ocean not for gold or empire, but to build a society ordered by the Word of God. They carried with them a vision of covenant community, biblical governance, and faithful stewardship of the inheritance they had received.
History Landing 1620 takes its name from that landing — not as a nostalgic gesture, but as a declaration of purpose. We believe the same convictions that animated the Pilgrims must animate us today: that history matters, that truth is knowable, that Christian civilization is worth preserving, and that every generation has a duty to pass on what it has received — and more.
This organization was founded on a simple but weighty conviction: that the intellectual, historical, and spiritual inheritance of Christian civilization is in danger of being lost — not through conquest, but through neglect. We exist to prevent that loss.
Our Vision
Our Vision
“We envision a future in which the great tradition of Christian thought, history, and culture is not merely preserved in archives but is alive in the minds and hearts of men and women who love God, know their history, and are equipped to lead their families, churches, and communities with wisdom and faithfulness.”
History Landing 1620 is being built as a lasting institution — not a blog, not a newsletter, not a side project — but a permanent organization with the infrastructure, resources, and reach to serve the Church and the broader culture for generations to come.
Our Convictions
Guiding Principles
Scripture as Foundation
All of our work is grounded in the conviction that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God — the supreme authority for faith, life, and thought. History is not neutral; it is the unfolding of God's sovereign purposes, and it must be understood through the lens of Scripture.
Truth is Knowable
We reject the postmodern claim that objective truth is inaccessible. History can be known. Ideas have consequences. The great thinkers of the Christian tradition — Augustine, Aquinas, Calvin, Edwards, and countless others — have left us a rich inheritance of thought that remains true and relevant today.
Legacy Over Immediacy
We are building for the long term. Every decision — what to publish, what to preserve, what to teach — is made with an eye toward future generations. We are not interested in what is trending; we are interested in what is true, good, and beautiful.
Excellence as Worship
Soli Deo Gloria — to God alone be the glory. This means that everything we produce must be excellent. Shoddy scholarship, careless writing, and mediocre design dishonor the God we serve. We hold ourselves to the highest standards because the subject matter demands it.
Breadth of Engagement
Christian civilization is not a narrow thing. It encompasses theology, philosophy, history, literature, art, music, science, law, and statecraft. We engage the full breadth of this inheritance — from the Church Fathers to the American Founders, from the Psalms to the Federalist Papers.
Institution Building
Movements fade. Institutions endure. We are committed to building the organizational infrastructure — the press, the academy, the institute, the archives, the museum — that will allow this work to continue long after any individual is gone.
A Note from the Founder
A Note from the Founder
“I started History Landing 1620 because I believe we are living in a moment of profound historical and spiritual consequence. The Christian roots of Western civilization — the ideas, the institutions, the stories, the saints — are being forgotten, distorted, or actively suppressed.
I am not content to watch that happen. I believe the Church has a duty to know its history, to treasure its inheritance, and to pass it on. I believe that education, publishing, and preservation are acts of faithfulness — ways of loving God and neighbor across time.
History Landing 1620 is my attempt to do something about it. It is a labor of love, conviction, and — I hope — lasting consequence. I am building it to outlive me. I invite you to join me.”
